The PV data is presented in the collaborative platform are for the Demo site of THU in Hittistetten. This village located next to the city of Senden in Bavaria is characterized by a high PV penetration. In Hittistetten, approximately 1.66 MWp are installed in total, corresponding to an installed capacity of around 14 kWp per house, relative to the total number of residential buildings. The data is obtained by a simulation of the PV performance characteristics generated using the grid simulation software PowerFactory[1]. Realistic values for orientation, tilt angle, and the number of modules were used to conduct a simulation for the entire year 2023. This simulation is based on a grid model built from real data from the Geographic Information System of the grid operator Stadtwerke Ulm/Neu-Ulm Netze GmbH[2] (SWU). The parameters for the PV systems were defined as precisely as possible, utilizing the Market Master Data Register (MaStR) of the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA), which contains comprehensive information on all actors and installations in the German energy market, as well as a tool for rooftop potential analysis based on Lidar data that accurately captures orientations and tilt angles. This tool was specifically developed and tested for Hittistetten within the Serendi-PV project (more Information in D6.4). The tool’s output provides the maximum capacity that could be installed on a rooftop based on its tilt and optimal orientation.
